During the month of April local business owners, community groups, and faith groups are invited to help raise funds and awareness through the CAC’s “Coins for Kids” Campaign. The goal is to raise funds through the collection of small change and to provide education on the statistics and warning signs of child abuse.
In recognition of April National Child Abuse Prevention Month, The Child Advocacy Center of Lapeer County invites you to tour our child-friendly building and learn more about how our Multidisciplinary Team works together to investigate disclosures of abuse and help children and their families heal.
In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, The Child Advocacy Center of Lapeer County will be holding a pinwheel garden planting day at the Lapeer ELGA Credit Union, April 5th at 10:00 am. Come out and show your support by dressing in blue and planting a pinwheel. The pinwheel is the nationally recognized symbol for child abuse and neglect prevention. Learn how we can keep our children safe and how you can become an active participant in preventing child abuse.
