Babysitter’s Training

Babysitting Course – Ages 11 & Up

The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training program is designed to prepare youth ages 11+ to safely and confidently care for children and infants.

It includes hands-on activities, videos, and discussions to develop essential, real-life readiness babysitting skills. The course covers feeding, diapering, picking up and holding children, safety, and emergency response.

  • Length of Course: Approximately 8 hours

  • Class Size: Minimum 4 participants, maximum 10.

  • Cost: $20 per participants

    • We will offer classes at various times here at the CAC.

    • If you would like to host a class, we will be happy to work with you to find the right dates/times to make this happen.

  • LEAF360!

    • The babysitting class is an approved partner in the LEAF360! program.

    • Any participants who hold a LEAF account through the Community Foundation will earn $25 credit for their LEAF accounts.
